Lisa Magennis
As President of Axiom North America, Lisa Magennis is responsible for ensuring that all of Axiom’s clients in the USA, Canada, and Mexico are fully supported in the use of Axiom’s leading HR Assessment technologies. She is a Certified Human Resource Professional, CHRP, with significant experience working in both private and public sector organizations both as a specialist and generalist.
Previous to her role at Axiom, she held Senior HR positions in government, quasi government, private sector, financial services, and hospitality. These roles included working as Manager of a Learning Centre and as a Career Advisor for the Federal Government of Canada. She is a certified practitioner in a number of psychometric & behavioral assessment tools, including DISC. Lisa has a passion for Recruitment & Staffing which has allowed her and her management teams to successfully hire and retain numerous individuals in a variety of positions. She prides herself on “finding the right person for the right job, the first time around!” Engaging people in jobs that they are “aligned with” is good business practice. Lisa believes in “learning organizations” and supports the development and growth of individuals in the workplace.
As a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Lisa holds two degrees. A Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Physical Education. She also has a Certificate in Human Resources Management and is a Certified Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP).
Lisa’s achievements are the direct result of her hard work, professionalism and her ability to maximize organization effectiveness by setting key objectives and executing on them. She has had the privilege of supporting managers as an HR professional and being a manager herself.
Lisa’s international experience included teaching English as a foreign language, TEFL, in Kurayoshi, Japan for 3 years. This has equipped Lisa with a broad perspective and appreciation for cultural diversity and the value it represents.
Greg Magennis
Greg is a "South African Canadian" who immigrated to Canada in August 1994. He is proud of his roots and stays connected to Africa through his involvement with AMREF Canada, (The African Medical and Research Foundation), a primary health care provider in East and Southern Africa.
He has over 15 years of human resource, assessment, learning and development, and performance management experience with a diverse group of leading North American organizations. His initial corporate experience began with SmithKline Beecham Consumer Brands, South Africa, and National Brands Limited, South Africa.
From 1994 – 2002 Greg helped to build the Canadian division of Thomas International, an internationally franchised Human Resource Consulting firm, and was promoted to Vice President & General Manager in 1999. In May of 2003, Greg founded Axiom Management Systems Ltd. and in September 2003 opened the United States division of Axiom based out of Dallas Texas. In January 2006 Axiom finalized a partnership with HRsmart to offer an exceptional technology platform to Axiom’s clients for pre-hire, on-boarding, and post hire applications. As of January 2009 Greg has transitioned into the role of Chairman and Co-Founder to facilitate taking on an exciting new challenge in building a business unit for Stagen, a long standing client and business partner.
Greg is now the Practice Lead for the Stagen Leadership Academy. Stagen is a management consulting firm that specializes in helping mid-market companies scale. Emphasizing disciplined execution in both the operational and the people dimensions, Stagen collaborates with its clients to define strategy, enhance revenue, reduce costs, develop leaders, and manage talent. Passionate about delivering individual, team, and organizational transformation, Stagen engages business owners who are committed to long-term partnerships and dedicated to navigating the difficult transition from Scrambling to Scaling.
Greg is responsible for the marketing & growth of the Academy while working closely with its delivery teams who comprise consultants, facilitators, executive coaches, a project management office, and faculty.
A graduate of Rhodes University in Business Administration, Economics and Commercial Law, Greg is committed to a lifelong journey of learning continually seeking opportunities to make a difference and contribute to the success of individuals and groups. His passion for people is self-evident.
Greg feels privileged to have a wonderful wife and daughter and his guiding motto is: "Masizakhe" - Xhosa, meaning "Let Us Build Together!"
