Greg Magennis

Greg was born in South Africa and immigrated to Canada in August 1994. He is proud of his roots and stays connected to Africa through his involvement with AMREF Canada, (The African Medical and Research Foundation), a primary health care provider in East and Southern Africa.

He has over 13 years of corporate consulting, assessment, and learning and development experience, ranging from classical marketing & sales to behavioral & performance related development with a diverse group of leading North American organizations. He began his career with National Brands Limited, South Africa, and with SmithKline Beecham Consumer Brands, South Africa.

From 1994 – 2002 Greg helped to build the Canadian division of Thomas International, a franchised Human Resource Consulting firm, and was promoted to Vice President & General Manager in 1998. In May of 2003, Greg founded Axiom Management Systems Ltd. Greg is now responsible for managing Axiom’s initiatives in North America.

A graduate of Rhodes University in Business Administration, Economics and Commercial Law, Greg continues to broaden his knowledge and expertise in the area of personal and personnel development, continually seeking opportunities to make a difference and contribute to the success of individuals and groups. Greg is a frequent public speaker on behavior and its impact on individuals, teams and organizations.

Greg feels privileged to have a wonderful wife and daughter and his guiding motto is the Xhosa word "Masizakhe", meaning "Let Us Build Together!"


Deanne Cockell

As Client Services and Business Operations Manager, Deanne Cockell, is a Human Resources Professional who is responsible for handling all aspects of our client’s needs to ensure their Human Resources are reaching their greatest potential.

Prior to her role with Axiom, Deanne held positions in various sectors including Federal Government, non-profit and the insurance industry. She specializes in working with clients in many aspects of HR including consulting, training and development, recruitment, HR technology, as well as various assessment tools.

Deanne is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, I.H. Asper School of Business where she received her Bachelor of Commerce honors degree in Human Resources Management and Management of Organizations. She has participated in numerous volunteer experiences including, serving as President of the Human Resources Student Association, working extensively with a local hockey organization and various fundraiser events. She currently holds the status of CHRP Candidate and is working towards her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
